Learned that tigers are actually bigger than lions. Male tigers can grow up to 800 lbs whereas lions reach 550 lbs. Part of the weight difference is due to tigers having greater muscle density.

Lounging kitty

Liger- cross between a tiger and lion. They are often produced for roadside attractions because they can grow to be very large! They have many genetic issues and most die young because their organs grow to be too big and fail.

Did you know there are more tigers in the US than there are in the wild? This is due to habitat loss and because there aren't laws strict enough to prevent the sale of tigers. Many people buy them thinking they will make cute household pets not acknowledging that they grow to be VERY large and have their wild instincts kick in. Terpentine Creek Sanctuary takes many of these animals in who would otherwise not be able to survive in the wild.

"Beyond the Lens" museum in Branson MO. Branson is kind of like a tiny Las Vegas as imagined by people who think that Sin City would be better without all that sin. Like Las Vegas, it has big production shows, luxury resorts, and a strip of buildings with themes from the outside world. Unlike Las Vegas, the big production shows are things like "Noah" and "The Hughes Brothers Christmas Show", and the themed buildings are museums instead of casinos.
